Waldo 29084 Treeing Walker Coonhound Adult Male for sale in Prattville, Alabama

Waldo 29084's story
Waldo is a 6-year-old male Treeing Walker Coonhound who has already been neutered.  He is tricolor (black, white, and brown) and currently weighs 57 pounds.  Waldo is a little thin and could stand to pick up a few more pounds; he is considered to be a large dog.  He came to PAHS after he was found in the woods and his owner never came to reclaim him.  Waldo is loving, intelligent, confident, and enjoys interacting with humans.  He would make a good companion dog for an owner who understands the characteristics of the breed and is willing to work with his in-bred nature as a hunting dog. Treeing Walker Coonhounds are known to get along well with other dogs and with children; and Waldo is certainly a great example of that.   Like most hounds he is even-tempered; and even though he is frisky he has a laid back attitude about life. However--Waldo hates cats and should not be placed in a home with cats.  He may even think cats are raccoons! Waldo would probably enjoy life best in a home where there is lots of space to exercise and explore.  He just can't wait until he is adopted and can go home with his new family!

Dogs and puppies may be adopted for a fee of $120.  All cats and kittens may be adopted for $50.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.   Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
